Another property that is included is the automatic equalization of the pressure in the case, through the automatic purge valve. The valve will allow air to move freely in and out of the Pelican 1600 case, being adjusted through the altitude. By doing so, the atmospheric pressure surrounding the case will match the pressure that is inside the case eliminating the dreaded vacuum effect. It also contains some pad lockable holes that are available to secure the content that are inside the 1600 case. Just about anything that may come into contact with this case will not damage the contents inside. It is a resilient case which has been constructed trough the use of an ultra high form of a polymer for its outer casing. This material is not easy to corrode. It also contains a double latch that keeps the case from accidental opening. Nevertheless, opening the latch is still easy through its double throw design. The items that are kept in this case are safe, and one can be guaranteed maximum waterproof protection to the equipment inside.
